Monti Fest celebrations in Sharjah
Despite, third
successive day of public function on his honor, the Bishop never looked tired.
He expressed his gratitude to the Konkanni speaking people of UAE,
specially Mr. Dolphy Vaz of KOC, Abu Dhabi and Mr. Leo Rodrigues for
making his UAE visit possible. "I am here to meet my
people" said during Monti Fest celebrations
held in Sharjah on 8th September 2001.
Konkanni Community of Sharjah
arranged an cultural programme to honor the Lordship. Fr.
Cyprian of Dubai, Fr. George and Fr. John of Sharjah were also
present during felicitation ceremony. As an entertainment part
children dance and Konkanni skit written by CGS, Takode
"Mohinyachi Poili Tarik" were presented.
Mr. Lobo welcomed the gathering,
Mrs. Benny D`Souza was the compere.
